How Mill railway station : ウィキペディア英語版 | How Mill railway station How Mill railway station was a station which served the tiny village of The How, South-West of Brampton, England. The station was closed in 1959, just four years before the Beeching Axe, an informal name for the British Government's attempt in the 1960s to reduce the cost of running British Railways. The How was on one side of the station, actually almost a mile away while the Mill was on the other side. The Mill was/is a sawmill and a house where the family live(d) who own the Mill. A level crossing was in place in the early 1940s.
